Aho Mitakuye Oyasin
Aho Mitakuye Oyasin….All my relations. I honor you in this circle of life with me today. I am grateful for this opportunity to acknowledge you in this prayer….
To the Creator, for the ultimate gift of life, I thank you.
To the mineral nation that has built and maintained my bones and all foundations of life experience, I thank you.
To the plant nation that sustains my organs and body and gives me healing herbs for sickness, I thank you.
To the animal nation that feeds me from your own flesh and offers your loyal companionship in this walk of life, I thank you.
To the human nation that shares my path as a soul upon the sacred wheel of Earthly life, I thank you.
To the Spirit nation that guides me invisibly through the ups and downs of life and for carrying the torch of light through the Ages, I thank you.
To the Four Winds of Change and Growth, I thank you.
You are all my relations, my relatives, without whom I would not live. We are in the circle of life together, co-existing, co-dependent, co-creating our destiny. One, not more important than the other. One nation evolving from the other and yet each dependent upon the one above and the one below. All of us a part of the Great Mystery.
Thank you for this Life.
Vernal Equinox Meditation
Happy Spring to my soul family!
For this Spring Equinox, when the day and night are equal, I offer on the altar some guidelines for experiencing this energetic shift to its full potential in your life. (This is sourced from Ted Andrews and supplemented by me.)
- ‘initiate a new order within your life.’ This statement has many layers, and thus levels of opportunity to delve into the meaning for you individually and holographically.
- ‘burning out the old so that the new seeds have room to sprout and be given new expression.’ What new endeavors or ways of being have you been incubating over the winter? What stands in the way of that manifesting and what could be released to the funeral pyre now?
- ‘the veil between the physical and spiritual is thinned, easing opportunities to access and invoke dynamic spiritual energies into one’s life.’ How do you contact the spiritual realm now? For guidance? Healing? Taking advantage of this time to build rapport with your guides and helpers will support your continued process.
- ‘accelerate one’s own initiation, or to open new patterns for it throughout the rest of the spring.’ This is a time of quickening, couched in the larger collective quickening we are within.
- ‘making things new in all areas of your life.’ What does it mean to make new? Refresh, revitalize? How does this specifically show up in your own life?
- ‘the inner temples are more accessible so that the secrets of life can be more deeply attuned to.’ This sacred time of deep inner listening, allowing you to connect to Source/Telos.
- ‘awakening new teachers upon the Earth plane.’ How is the inner Teacher speaking through you? Every moment can be an awakening for all involved, now is the time to show up in your Wisdom aspect and hold the Light of consciousness for the collective.
Thank you for taking a moment to explore this sacred time with me. Many blessings to you on your inner journeys of clearing and creation! ♥

Attempt to Express the Ineffable
My relationship with the Divine is as essential as I am to myself and to all things. It is in me, it is me, and it cannot be separated from me, just as we are all connected from this shared Source. It is not a Being out there somewhere, but a flowing breath and energy of life itself… I AM THAT. I am also paradoxically and simultaneously living out my life within the realm of natural law, and this sacred dance between unitive and multiplicative and the subtle and manifest is where I live/work/play. Every being has the right to worship their concept of God in their own unique way, and only the laws of nature can dictate the karmic results, not any one of us can judge one another.
My spirituality is rich and deep, and constantly evolving in step with my consciousness. I feel every moment and every act can be a prayer or meditation, depending on how present you are and with what intention you come to the action. The practice of selfless service, seva, which is compassion in action is key to transformation (more on this in future entries). As I wrote last time, sangha or come-unity is also a vital component on the Path. When people gather together to pray, God is present. He/She works in mysterious ways and miracles happen.
Our job as humans on a spiritual path and spirits on a human path is to flow in that place between intent and surrender. This place where action and reception both find expression, in a sacred space where Grace and Volition meet, this is a Hieros Gamos. We are all on complex and interrelated journeys that are holographic in nature. My path is one of Chirotic Initiation, collective processing, and the Hierophant, and my intention is to act in all things with Love, and to receive that same precious resource in return… or more accurately, as Rumi clarifies,
“Your task is not to seek for love, but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it.”
Karma at First Sight
Are we truly slaves to these incessant cyclings?
Forever ebbing and flowing
Are we ever not fulfilling it in some way, regardless of which avenue we pursue–
with fervor and enthusiasm
reckless abandon
or timid tiptoeing down the hall so nobody will hear…
How do we manage?
How do we maneuver through the minefields without destroying ourselves,
wreckage abounding…
Sheep in wolf’s clothing?

Self-Care Intention Statement (SCIS)
Here is some detailed information on how to create a powerful intention statement for self-care:
1) State it in the affirmative
2) What is the context- who what, where, when, why?
3) Able to be initiated and maintained by self
4) Identify any positive by-products of the current condition
a. are there benefits you receive by not following the new SCIS?
b. if so, include those to be sure it is in alignment
5) How will you know when you are doing your SCIS? Describe the results with all senses (AVKOG)!
6) How will following the SCIS affect other areas of your life? Check ecology:
a. family/home
b. friends
c. work
d. health: body/emotions/mind/spirit
7) Review the benefits of following your Self-Care Intention Statement!

animus made manifest
you fray the remaining threads to which my sanity clings
you open the dusty closet doors and headlamp on enjoy spelunking in my soul.
eureka
it’s possible you might get to watch me bloom
you might bear witness to my armor and its falling away-
more even than I have shown myself on dark cold nights alone
how do you access me in that magical way?
Teach me and I will show you my secrets

Winter Solstice Meditation
As we approach the longest night of the year, we are invited to connect deeply to the inner world and all of the wisdom of the hidden realms. Taking the time for self-care, rest, meditation, and introspection will support accessing clarity for realizing what lies within and wants to be birthed into being.
The Winter Solstice energies assist in:
- Being more aware of dreams and their messages
- Accessing spiritual sight through various other modes of intuition
- Exploring in the realm of Imagination for Creative Visualization
Archangel Gabriel governs this season, and is purveyor of Love and Hope. He assists in Inner Union and the birth of the Holy Child within. His color is orange, and is associated with Svadhisthana Chakra, the water element, and Danburite crystal. Essential oils that can be used to support this inner work with Gabriel include: Anise star, Clary Sage, Myrrh, Narcissus, Neroli and Ravensara.
“The energies touching all at this time of the year present opportunities to awaken the seeds of inner potentials that we most desire to unfold. It is a time to reflect upon the miracle of heaven and earth uniting, coupling within the dark to give birth to new life. And it is a time which gives each individual opportunity to light the light that shines eternally within the darkness”. –Ted Andrews

Meditation on Gratitude
This Thanksgiving let us all remember to give thanks! It is not merely a day for indulgence of the senses- food, drink, games, although abundance is surely something to be grateful for. Also, it is a time of gathering with friends and family, of fellowship and mutual support. So, let us all be deeply in gratitude for all the abundance that we may experience within all the different areas of life.
The word gratitude shares the same Latin root as the word grace: “gratus”, meaning “pleasing, agreeable, thankful”. So around the table, as we experience abundance and community, relaxation or playfulness, may we all share in the fulfillment from the grace of this holiday, of that which is given without expectation of reciprocation, and also may we be inspired to act in this way toward others. Another meaning of the word grace is the blessing before a meal. May we feel the blessings of life and send the well-wishes to others upon this changing planet around our Thanksgiving table.
Honoring the history of this holiday and the infancy of this country a difficult vision of America’s beginnings and the relationship between vastly different cultures- one more equipped to live in harmony upon the land, the other imbalanced and at her mercy- is one of the few depictions that seem to be more accurate than what we are taught in the public school curricula. May this spirit of cooperation and collaboration, of grace and gratitude begin to realign our modern culture with these humble beginnings, and inform a future of peace and harmony on this oasis Earth.
